About

Meet Curriculum for Life

Curriculum for Life is an online advice service to help young people answer questions they have about growing up. These could include navigating finances, working life, relationships, politics, and much more. Young people have created it with Greater Manchester Combined Authority.

How can Curriculum for Life help you?

The advice is organised into six topics, chosen by young people. You can see these on the home page. Each section has their own colour and logo. The topics contain advice posts with information linked to the questions asked by young people in Greater Manchester. You can search using the magnifying glass tool in the menu bar or browse the topics until you find what you are looking for.

The advice posts are full of practical information to help you answer questions such as “How do I apply to university?” or “How can I care for my mental health?”. They contain links to great websites including those that can help you write a CV, and how to get your recycling right. You might not find exactly the answer you’re after, but you’ll definitely be able to learn more about what support and advice is out there to help you.

What is Curriculum for Life?

Curriculum for Life is an advice service for young people in our area. The Mayor of Greater Manchester committed to building it because young people asked for more opportunities to develop the skills and understanding needed for adult life. It’s different from other advice websites as it has been co-created by young people working with Greater Manchester Combined Authority.

Curriculum for Life will grow and change in response to what is important to young people, so we need to hear from you!  Do you want to write an article for the website? Got an unanswered question? Want to tell us how we can improve? Or are you working with young people, and you want them to be involved? Go over to our “contact us” page and drop us a line.

Curriculum for Life is part of a range of digital services for young people in Greater Manchester. If you’re 16-18 years old, you can get travel, cultural, sporting and lifestyle offers through Our Pass. And there’s free information on skills, work and careers on GMACS, where you can also find out more about what is available where you live.
