What is Our Pass and how do I get one?

What is Our Pass?

Our Pass offers free bus travel on most local bus services across Greater Manchester, making it easier to access education, work, training, culture and leisure in the city-region.

Our Pass helps young people to get places easier and to explore around the city.

 

Where did it come from?

Our Pass was a flagship policy of the Greater Manchester Mayor, introduced in the summer of 2019, intended to improve access to education and opportunities for young people. The offer also includes half price off-peak and weekend travel on the Metrolink network.

Who is eligible?

You can get an Our Pass if you’re between the ages of 16 and 18 and live in Greater Manchester.

How do I apply?

Applying for Our Pass is easy.

Follow these simple steps:

  • Go to the Our Pass website
  • Click ‘Get Our Pass card’
  • Click ‘Apply now’
  • Fill in your personal information including address, last name and first name.
  • Pay £10
  • Receive your card
  • Enjoy your Our Pass card!

Exclusives

The pass also offers a number of ‘Exclusives’ such as discounts, events, and activities, with partners such as JD Sports, ASOS, and The Palace Theatre. You can also enter competitions to win prizes from Greggs vouchers to Parklife tickets!

You can take advantage of these discounts, events and activities by downloading the Our Pass app and signing up with your email.

After doing that, you can participate and take advantage of any events, offers or activities available in the app! Don’t miss out!

How do I personally use Our Pass?

I love using Our Pass! It helps me get around Manchester during my college days but also when I want to hang out with my friends. It helps me and my family financially and I am able to get to places around Greater Manchester on time such as my college placement.

Also, I find all the exclusives in the app exciting and engaging because it gives young people like me the opportunity to get out there and do something different.
